A Diagnosis is a Pathway

We are increasingly aware of the long waiting lists for early childhood diagnosis in many countries across the world right now and we are committed to helping you find the answers you need as quickly as possible, so that you can start using this information to navigate the best path for your child.

At Play2Talk we can offer a range of developmental and specific diagnostic assessments including the ADOS for children as young as 12 months.

The ADOS provides an accurate assessment and diagnosis of autism and pervasive development disorder across all ages, developmental levels and language skills. It is regarded as the ‘Gold Standard’ for autism diagnosis across the world and offers a clear insight into a child’s strengths and needs.

It is a semi-structured, standardised assessment of communication, social interaction, play, and restricted and repetitive behaviours. It presents various activities that elicit behaviours directly related to a diagnosis of ASD. By observing and coding these behaviours, the test user can obtain information that informs diagnosis, treatment planning, and educational placement.
