COVID19 Service Update

18 July 2020

Since the UK government lockdown was announced in March 2020, Blue Sky has been continuing to adapt our services to meet the needs of our families, whilst adhering to all guidelines. This meant that we had to temporarily close both our centres and move to telehealth input.

We have established a comprehensive range of online services to suit the individual needs, both of current clients and new referrals. We now conduct assessments and deliver therapy and/ or parent coaching programmes through Zoom or Skype. We have found that our online input is highly successful in supporting both children and their caregivers to access evidence based support.

This has been a lifeline for many families during the recent lockdown and we are delighted to say that we will be continuing to offer this service and develop the range of online input that we can provide.

As restrictions begin to relax in both locations, we are beginning to undertake a phased reopening of both our therapy centres from August 2020. This means that we can start to provide some face to face services, following social distance guidance. We will continue to offer social skills groups online for the forseeable future, but with a view to begin to reopen play date and small group options in Scotland in the autumn.

At our London centre we are excited to be opening our specialist Nursery Class, which will be based in our purpose built indoor/ outdoor therapy space and will cater for a maximum of 4 children for 4 afternoon sessions each week. This will be starting in September 2020 and following strict guidelines to keep staff and children safe, we are now open for referrals. More information can be found here
